Why the “distracted professor”? Well, let’s just say that when I told my family about my idea for the website’s name they laughed and said, “That’s perfect, it’s totally you!”

So that’s me, always distracted with so many (too many?) thoughts running through my head.  It’s that distraction that has given birth to this project.  It’s a bit of an experiment and I’m excited to see where it goes. I have decades (yikes!) of experience in higher ed as an educator and researcher. For years, I have considered putting together a space (for now anonymous) where I could blog and recommend the tools I use, share my thoughts on university education today, and write about the random things that pop into my head. This is that space.
